“Mouth-to-mouth? I don’t think so, sweetheart. My tongue has much more interesting plans for you tonight.”
It’s tourist season at Starfish Cove, but head lifeguard Max Killian isn’t in the water. He’s on probation, relegated to policing bonfires and beach weddings until his supervisor deems him fit for duty. No booze. No partying. No swimming. Hell, just about the only thing the boss didn’t outlaw is sex.
And a hot, oh-so-f*ckable bridesmaid is just what Max needs to soothe his guilt-ridden soul…
She may be standing up in her sister’s wedding, but Haley Scott doesn’t believe in happily ever afters—not with her family's track record. That doesn’t mean she’s not up for a little naughty fun with the right guy, though.
Like that gorgeous, tatted-up lifeguard with the panty-melting eyes and muscles made for pinning her down…
It’s a match made in one-night-stand heaven… until Haley’s nosy Aunt Bev catches them buck naked in the lifeguard tower, and Max introduces himself as her freaking boyfriend.
Great. Turns out faking it with Max is about as easy as pretending to like her fugly bridesmaid dress. But when feelings deepen on both sides, can Haley open herself up to love, or will Max’s painful secrets send her swimming for the shore?

Hot Lifeguard
Rescued by the Bad Boy is Sylvia Pierce's fourth book in the Bad Boy on Holiday series. Just like the ones that have proceeded it, this book is filled with intense sexual tension, humor, banter, and off the charts chemistry between a hot alpha male, and a sexy, sweet as pie, female. Max is the head lifeguard at Starfish Cove, but currently on probation after enduring an unfortunate accident that has left him a shell of himself. Usually the charismatic Max is swooning the ladies with his sexy smile and boyish charm, while saving lives and cruising the shoreline. Instead he's stuck supervising beach weddings and bonfires, bored out of his mind. That's until the dark haired, green eyed beauty catches his eye.
Haley is at Starfish Cove for her sister's wedding. She notices Max watching her and decides he would be the perfect decoy to help get her ex off her back. Deciding to be bold, Haley approaches Max, and without warning kisses him. Max is taken back at first, but then deepens the kiss and knows that he needs more. The kiss leads to Max and Haley taking it further in the lifeguard tower, but cut short when Haley's aunt catches them almost in the act. One thing leads to the another and Max is playing Haley's pretend boyfriend for the weekend. What starts off as an innocent and fun relationship with climatic sex, turns into so much more.
Can Max overcome the grief and demons that consume him? Will Haley and Max be able to say goodbye when Sunday comes strolling by? I loved Haley and Max's chemistry and how easily they fit together. The sexual tension, teasing and fun loving banter was adorable. I really enjoyed reading this book. Great job once again Sylvia Pierce!
