Venom is book 11 in the Brotherhood Protectors Colorado series by Elle James and next is Venom and Garcia’s story.
When Venom, Navy SEAL left his team after a mission had collateral damage of a child he joined the BHP with one stipulation..didn’t want anything to do with the protection of a child.
Maria Garcia called her former Army buddy to help her and her daughter escape from her abusive ex boyfriend, who also is part of a dangerous Mexican cartel..

Excellent storyline and great characters in this “heart in your throat” daring escape Maria and Sofia made from an abusive man. Venom was a perfect rescuer and had to overcome some pretty harsh memories and get the 2 girls to safety. Love the ending and the HEA and Sofia was one cool kid in the end also!!

Vincent “Venom” Jones was a SEAL, but left the military after a collateral damage incident. He accepts a job offer from the Brotherhood Protectors as long as he doesn’t have to protect children. Maria Elana didn’t know her boyfriend was mixed up in a Mexican cartel until it was too late. He keeps her and her daughter locked up in a compound surround by guards, locked doors and lots of fences. Creating a shopping excursion after he hits he one too many times, this time in front of her daughter, Maria manages to escape out a bathroom window at the Mall and they go to the Brotherhood Protectors for help.
Fast moving and full of danger. A bit predictable and formulaic but still exciting, steamy and romantic. A romantic escape read that satisfies.
