Wow, talk about holding a grudge. But considering the circumstances, I can't hold it against Xander. But I love how Imani provides stability for him. Even though he hasn't told her everything, she's there for him and doesn't hold anything against him. So many secrets are being kept by both of them, will they ever reveal them to each other?

With an explosive beginning and a mysterious ending, book two can't come soon enough. What will happen? I'm looking forward to the reveals to come in book 2 and the conversations to be had between Xander and Imani.

A very riveting, emotional, and thrilling read.

I loved this book! This second chance romance was a roller coaster of emotions while at the same time it was unputdownable. This book had many fantastic lines and inner dialogue. This is the first time I read a Nana Malone book, but I can assure you, it will not be the last. Nana Malone delivered a fun, entertaining, suspense, and edge of your seat story with a cliffhanger. This story starts out with the suspense of what happened to Xander and Imani! This is Xander Chase and Imani Aysem Brooks’ story of a second chance. Sometimes second chances aren’t quite what you expect. Xander is a rich playboy that is very handsome, dynamic and wealthy as sin—there is no shortage of stunning women willing to share his bed. But when he meets Imani, she is a challenge the jaded playboy can’t refuse. A chance encounter occurs with the sexy playboy and Imani that turns into a one night stand—a one night with a stranger—and yet, he’s not, he flirted with her, he kissed her, he hooked up with her, and he gave her orgasms. Their unexpected attraction to each other is so intense, but the chemistry like the one they have can only be denied for so long. When something burns that hot it’s bound to explode eventually, right! Their journey to love is intoxicatingly unusual, perfectly paced, and all around fascinating. Nana Malone manages to weave plot lines centered on romantic ideas with artfully developed main characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
