Nothing is what it seems … ever …
Nelson’s early morning meeting at the docks with Elizabeth Etchings offers only bad news. Her brother—and Nelson’s old friend—has gone missing on his days off while his ship was docked in Ensenada. A trip to where he’d last been seen shows the local color … and reveals Nelson’s friend has gotten into bigger trouble than anyone could imagine.
Elizabeth might have had a hand in now sending two men to Baja to look for her brother, but she will not stay behind. Her brother is in danger … and he’s the only family she has left.
It doesn’t take long for Nelson to realize that Elizabeth has caught the eye of someone who rules that corner of the world. She’s now in jeopardy too—possibly more than her brother. Keeping her safe moves up Nelson’s priority list.
Until both issues merge, and everything goes south …

Nelson: SEALS of Honor (Finding a Lost Brother)
Elizabeth is a mechanical engineer, a torpedo developer, and a source of irritation to Navy SEAL Nelson. Her brother, a Navy seaman is AWOL in a Mexican port of call. Now things get complicated, intriguing, and the tale has many unexpected twists. I opened the book last night and finished it today. I kept mentally thinking about where Dale Mayer was going with the plot only to discover another twist, another turn, a wow and did not see that coming. Another very great tale (and the trailer for the next book left me eager for the next installment). This is a stand alone book but you are missing so much if you do not read the early books (I have many, many times).

Great action!
This is book 21 in the SEAL’s of Honor series and it features Nelson and Elizabeth. Her brother is missing and he just happens to be an old friend of Nelsons. Elizabeth enlists Nelsons help but will not sit home and wait for news. She’s going to Mexico to look for her brother despite being told not to. Nelson and Taylor end up having to protect her AND look for her brother at the same time. I love that their attraction was gradual. It happened slowly throughout the story. Her naivety and stubbornness were quite irritating at times.
The action and adventure were fantastic. The story line and characters were awesome. I can’t wait for more!
Good story in a long series
I was kindly provided this book as an ARC; in exchange for my honest review. This is book 21 in the SEALs Of Honor series. This book revolves around Nelson and his “sidekick Taylor; and Elizabeth.
This is a very looong series; with several connected series. I would say it was close to as good/great as the previous books in series. Elizabeth’s brother Chris (Skunk) goes missing while on shore leave in Ensenada. She contacts his Navy friend Nelson to assist her in locating her brother; the Navy is convinced he’s abandoned his commission and are pursuing a potential court martial. This story is romance light (again I really have trouble with “insta-love.”), but seemed more of a suspense-mystery story. There were something’s brought up in the story (like Elizabeth’s fathers suspicious and untimely death; that are just left hanging. Other than that it’s a fast and easy read, limited action and violence (at the end), and again romance light - take what you want from that.
I’d give it 3 1/2 stars; but, because I love Ms. Dale’s books; so I gave the rating a slight bump to 4 stars (glass half full..)
