She had decided before meeting Michael that she wanted out of her relationship with David, but she has nowhere else to go, so she stays with him for now.

Michael and Lily finally start their relationship, which involves a lot of hot loving and scarves which Lily uses on Michael! Changing it up fabulous

It was great to read a book where finally the assistant was strong and fabulous. She wasn't shy or unsure of herself. Lily was a talented woman at the office and with her boss. It was just so refreshing. They were honest about their attraction from the beginning. Well worth reading!
