America Mason, a sassy undergrad at Eastern State University, is in love with a Maddox--Shepley Maddox. Unlike his cousins, Shepley is more lover than fighter, but a road trip to her parents' home in Wichita, Kansas could mean the next step, or the end of everything.
Shepley will always be the better Maddox😂
Shepley is so different to his cousins that this story captivates you easily and even though it doesn’t really give us a lot, it’s the perfect story to give you a glimpse of what it was before and during Travis and Abby, even when they appear I didn’t lose track of what I wanted to know about Shepley and Mare.
I wasn’t sure if I’d want to read a book about Shepley and America, but I loved it! It was great getting to know their characters better. I also love that you get more of a glimpse of Travis and Abby as well! My only complaint is that I wish that it was longer. I couldn’t get enough.
The story was all over the place
It was good in a sense that there’s a bit of background with America & Shepley. But no real story to grab you. It feels like they’re pulling straws— if Travis and Abby weren’t in the story it wouldn’t make sense.
