Publisher Description
On March 13, 2020, Oak Lawn Community High School, along with all Illinois K-12 schools, both public and private, learned of the mandatory school closure that would continue through the end of the school year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This pandemic has caused hardship not just in Illinois, or the United States. It is a global emergency, uniting all of humanity with a rare common experience. This pandemic is devastating.
The graduating class of 2020, took this opportunity to reflect on what they missed from the last semester in their high school. This book was created by a group of photography students, their teacher, and some wonderful at home photographers! The portraits are taken on the senior students porch, from a safe, social distance of 6 feet. Each page includes a message about what they are missing, what they want to remember, what they wish their classmates knew about them or a quote.
