Pete Barlow looked at the solid book in his hands and felt calm.
He walked over to the window and reflected on his deserted surroundings. He had always loved grey Cape Town with its mushy, mutated mountains. It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel calm.
Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Sharon Godfrey. Sharon was a spiteful lawyer with curvy lips and red eyebrows.
