Publisher Description
A few months ago, Mary didn't know she had any living relatives until Jake contacted her. He may live a few states away, but distance means nothing to him. He can go wherever he wants with his mind's eye, except one place. It's a place of death and shadows, and their relative Tracy Rathbone has been trapped there for nineteen years. Jake needs Mary's help to bring her home.
Mary wants to help, but she's cautious. Tracy is in the land of Shadowmen, the terrifying creatures that slip through cracks and take a person's life force. Mary has only ever gone up against one Shadowman at a time and each time she has only barely won. Going up against an army of them would be impossible.
She doesn't need to worry about the Shadowmen though. Tracy has a plan. She just needs Jake to bring Mary to her. She'll take care of the rest. Mary really should've asked more questions about the plan. Because it isn't so much an escape plan as a trade, and Mary's the one being traded.
Abandoned, alone, and scared, Mary must figure out how to get home and take back her stolen life.

Solid end to a great series
SA Hunter’s work has been inspiring and a master class in handling dialogue and banter between characters. More importantly, her books are fun, full of life, pun intended. Mary’s growth was amazing to watch despite the other characters that were flat. The tension and stakes rose with each novel and the overall plot was tight and easy to follow. Hope this becomes a movie one day, could be a fun watch.
Stolen Life
I am so sad! I fell in love with this series from the first book and it just got better and better with every book afterwards. I’ve been trying to stretch out this book and make it last, realizing it was the final in the series and knowing I was going to miss the Scary Mary-verse and all it’s characters but it’s hard to stay away from what you like! I laughed, I cried, I wish there was more but alas, all good things must come to an end. Will be checking out the other series this author has on iBooks. If it’s even 1/2 as good as this series was I’ll be over the moon.

Scary Mary series
Wow. By far, the Scary Mary series are my absolute favorite series of all time. I’m going to be honest, I was never a book worm but the series was just too good. This is honestly a “stay up late just to read this” book because that’s what I just did. My favorites of the series are, “Scary Mary”, “Mr. Conjuring”, and “Stolen Life. I really enjoyed all of the books in the series and I hope S.A. Hunter will keep writing more books in the Scary Mary collection!
