My favorite YA book

As a librarian, I am frequently asked what my favorite book is. While I do have many favorites, this book is always one that comes to mind. Corie lives in a complicated world full of deception and political maneuvering, a world that has her half sister trapped in a future destined to have little happiness. Can Corie find the courage to stand up for what is right and protect her sister (and capture the love of her life) all at the same time? While some elements of the book may be predictable, I find it a wholly satisfying read, and one I enjoy at least once a year.
