The day her mother passed away, Beulah was only given a name. That was it. No other explanation.
Portia Van Allan was not someone Beulah could believe her mother ever knew. Wealthy, self-absorbed and other than the fact Portia was supplying special care for Beulah’s sister, Portia was cruel.
The day Portia’s son returns home for the summer, Beulah discovers that Portia isn’t in charge. This isn’t her home at all. Her late husband left her with nothing. It all belongs to their son who doesn’t seem to like his mother at all.
Jasper Van Allan doesn’t know why his mother has hired a young gorgeous blonde to take care of the house and almost lets her go before he finds out the truth.
Realizing there’s more to Beulah than a stunning face, he keeps finding reasons to be near her all the time. It’s all falling into place, it all begins to make sense . . . until the real lies, the dark secrets, and the skeletons come tumbling out of the Van Allan closet. Twisted truths that will send Beulah running . . .
"Abbi Glines is the queen of steamy modern day fairytales with a twist. Sweet Little Thing will keep you guessing and needing more from the very first word all the way to the very last."
— Danielle Lagasse

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Abbi Gline's modern-day take on Cinderella—and a shocking cliffhanger—left us yearning for the next book in the series. At 19, Beulah Edwards is left caring for her sister with Down syndrome after their mother dies. A cryptic note sends Beulah to the wealthy Van Allan family, where she’s hired as a housekeeper in order to keep her sister in the expensive care facility she loves. Family scion Jasper is immediately drawn to Beulah, but secrets complicate their connection. This fairytale romance is made sweeter by how Jasper empowers Beulah rather than rescuing her.
Confused n distraught
This book grabs u by the heart and soul. I had to read it twice to put the pieces together and still can't believe the so called truth that is comin threw this story. I really hope the next one changes the fate for her and I really hope the terrible lies that have been hidden become lies n not the truth.
Did not see that coming
And that doesn't happen often. I definitely recommend and am looking forward to the next book!
Abbi writes another great book
Didn't care for Jasper at the start but he turned me a little way in. This girl was a fighter keeping her sister happy and health. Together they were a unit but we will have to see where we are headed in the next book. Only thing I didn't like was her name. Sorry all the Beulah's of America. Need a pretty name to go with a pretty girl. Enjoy the story. It's a good short read
