Better than the movie
This is an outstanding story about love, passion and sorrow. The author was detailed in telling about the 1950’s in England.
The book is heart warming, easy to read and once I started reading it I couldn’t stop reading until I finished it. It is an awesome book.
If you haven’t seen the movie then know that Hollywood got their unnecessary woke stuff in and totally changed the story.
The book is 1000 times better. I don’t plan to ever watch it again.
Work of Art
I loved this book. I saw there was a movie first and I’m glad I learned of the book. This kind of love sparks joy and happiness into a person. I devoured it as fast as my eyes would read. I will definitely be reading this again. Fantastic love story. This book evokes emotions that I forgot a person could feel. 10/10.
Finally, lgbt couple ends up together!
I loved this read, I finished it in 3 days and couldn’t put it down. I was finding every moment I could to steal a couple pages, on my work break, in the bath, while waiting for my dinner to cook.
The wording took me awhile to grasp and I had to look up a couple different things but overall very gripping for us lgbtqia novel fans.
On top of all that I am a huge fan of lesbian couples who end up together, especially in a time period piece like this.
The movie makes me so mad in that sense, but over all a great rainy day, read it in two/three days find!
