Dr. Phil wrote this book to make it very easy for you to read and to follow. I really enjoyed his psychology portion; he gave me new tools that have made a big difference in how I see and cope with food. However, I am not a huge fan of his diet program. I’m sure it works great, but it’s not what I want to eat for the rest of my life. His life-long maintenance uses the same foods as the diet and I’m not willing to just eat what he says, cheat days or not. I gave the book 4 stars because I enjoyed the read, the psychology, and the methods behind the foods. Just not the foods themselves.
Not Just Another Diet Book!
I have to say that I was really hesitant to purchase this book, thinking it was "just another diet book", and I certainly have enough of them! Dr Phil did all of the work with this book, right down to preparing the grocery list. It truly is a diet that you can live by, and not just go back to the old way of eating, once the weight is off. The thing that really surprised me the most about this book is that Dr Phil didn't miss discussing one thing! He covered everything! I think he did an amazing job in every way. I am very glad I purchased this, and really looking forward to jumping in and eating the right foods for life. I read the book in 24 hours because I was so eager to learn what I have been missing on succeeding at weight loss. I feel that I now have it, to be successful this time around!

I bought the audio and the recipes were not in there I got ripped off.
