Publisher Description
Captain Ian Flynn would die for any one of his crew…if he could. Now he might have to. Because one of the only known weapons able to kill an immortal is missing. The Spear of Destiny—a priceless religious artifact from the crucifixion—is in the hands of his ship’s ruthless ex-captain. Now the lives of the Sea Dog’s immortal pirate crew are all at risk…along with the headstrong mortal Ian never should have fallen for.
Writer Lily Bouchard isn’t sure what’s worse. That she fell for Ian Flynn only to get her heart broken, or that she romanticized the man like he was some gorgeous viking straight out of a movie. So when he shows up suddenly with some absurd tale of immortal pirates and mythical religious relics, Lily doesn’t know what to think. He’s always had a wildness beneath his well-tailored appearance…but how could any of this possibly be real?
Now a centuries-old vendetta between two pirate captains has erupted, and Ian will do anything to keep Lily safe—even if it means risking everything. But she won’t give him up without a fight.
The only thing more dangerous than killing an immortal is falling for one…

Captain’s Curse
Sentinels of Savannah series #8. Conclusion. Paranormal romantic suspense.
Captain Ian Flynn is a loner, not by choice, but since he was voted captain, he felt an obligation to his men and his ship. In his eyes, that precluded friendship. The pirate crew had a code not to hurt innocents and to only steal what was needed and never from anyone that was worse off. Flynn also pledged never to share their immortality, thanks to the Holy Grail. All of his crew has found a wife and someone to share their lives with. Flynn has also fallen in love but he walked away from her, thinking he was protecting her. But his enemy knows who she is, and she is no longer safe on her own.
Misunderstood? Flynn has always been protective of his crew but they haven’t always seen it. From the reader perspective, he wasn’t a favorite, by any means. Apparently Flynn didn’t know how or even that he should be sharing more. Lily helps Flynn regain the friendship that he had with the crew. Of course there is danger, and Magic and lots of steamy interludes while Flynn and Lily figure things out in their relationship. The rest of the crew and Department 13 play a role in the danger from the secretive monks in this wrap up too. Plus a bonus Easter Egg crossover that is always fun to find.
A great conclusion to the series.
