Publisher Description
My older stepbrother Christopher hates me.
Or that’s what I thought. When I plunge into the cold water of Manhattan’s harbor, a strong hand hauls me back onto the deck of the luxury yacht. Christopher protects me, but he won’t let himself love me.
Then Sutton appears–ruthless and seductive. He doesn’t care that my heart belongs to someone else, because he’s determined to win. No matter the cost.
Will his interest bring Christopher closer? Or will it finally break us apart?
This love triangle isn’t a real choice, because I’m just a game to them.
One I’m sure to lose.

Love Hurts So Good!
At the end of the book, this lyric from a thought by the main female Harper sang in my head, “Sometimes love don’t feel like it should, you make it hurt so good.” Sometimes you know you shouldn’t love the man that you do love, but your heart can’t help it. Then sometimes the timing is never right. That is how I feel about Christopher & Harper. I read the prequel novella Trust Fund that introduced Christopher & Harper, & I am so glad I did. I am going to be honest & say I was rooting for Christopher the whole time (even when he acted like an a-hole to Harper). I liked Sutton, Harper’s other suitor, but I just didn’t feel as much chemistry between them. Because of the prequel, I didn’t get to know him as well as Christopher. But that could have been alleviated if the author would done different POVs. That was the one problem I had with the book which is why I gave it 4 stars. I wish we could have gotten into Christopher’s & Sutton’s minds, & I feel there were a few moments that were skipped that could have been important (I won’t say where because of spoilers). But now I want to know how it is all going to end in Evolution of Man!
Wow
The first words captured me into an emotional roller coaster of a book. I did not want to finish the book, scared of the uncertainty it would cause, yet eager to turn the pages. I definitely have the second book on my wishlist! I recommend, but keep in mind the ending is not a closed book, it continues into a second one. Make sure you have the money ready to find out what happens next for Harper :)
Survival of the Riches
Really enjoyed the book. Sorry to be at the end. But is it the end?
