Publisher Description
Even after all the broken promises, I still thought there were limits to my family’s greed. Some lines that they would never cross. Some things that they would never make me do.
But I underestimated the market.
The country’s hunger for slave labor is insatiable. The breeders can’t keep up with the demand.
And a fertile blond slave like me is worth his weight in gold.
The other slave owners in town have started to complain. They say that my dad is being unpatriotic by keeping a prime piece of breeding stock like me off the market. That he must be a damn fool to turn down all the easy money that he could make by renting me out as a stud.
I was sure that my dad wouldn’t listen to them. That he’d never let my children be born in chains.
But I’d forgotten: I wasn’t his son anymore. I was his property.
And as a businessman, my father expects his property to produce a return.

Here we go!
1. Doug seems to be shaping up to be a braggart, a liar, a genuine monster. He seems to get off on terrifying people. As money hungry as he is, why does it not surprise me that he was the first to stud Wes out?
2. Dominic, while he might have once been a good businessman, doesn’t seem to be capable of accurately accessing a person’s character. As long as the terms of the loan agreement are not broken, he seems incapable of reining in his oldest son.
3. Wes while he still struggles with keeping his mouth shut, is finally getting the idea of paybacks. The whipping seems to have caused a bit of caution, but not much. The shock ring appears to be making more of a difference.
4. Ashley is an absolute gold digger. I wouldn’t be surprised if she deliberated trapped Dominic into marrying her to get her hands on his money. It doesn’t surprise me that she seems to be the one to bring up using Wes as a stud. When Dominic rages at her and threatens a divorce, she brings up auctioning off Wes. Doesn't she realize that if they want to do that, they have to pay off the loan first?
I will give this family this much, Doug is correct about one thing, the discipline needs to be consistent. Ashley, however, was just looking for a reason to use that ring.
