The Dead Signal

Earth has been dead for two hundred years.

So why is someone transmitting from it?

In 2247, communications officer Mara Venn is stationed aboard the isolated Orion Gate relay when she detects a signal buried in the static of deep space.

Its origin is impossible.

Earth.

Humanity abandoned Earth after the catastrophic event known as the Burn. No confirmed human transmission has ever come from the planet since.

Then the signal speaks.

WE ARE STILL HERE.

Mara expects an automated transmission or an elaborate deception. Instead, the signal begins responding to her—and eventually speaks in the voice of her dead father.

As Mara digs deeper, she uncovers references to a classified project called Project Echo, a mysterious artificial intelligence known as the Archivist, and a hidden archive containing human memories, identities, DNA, and neural patterns.

Then Mara discovers something that threatens everything she knows about her own life.

She may not be the original Mara Venn.

And she may not be the only one.

When a military retrieval ship arrives and Earth suddenly appears alive, Mara must decide whether humanity has the right to uncover the truth—or whether some secrets were buried for a reason.

The signal was never a message from the past.

It was an invitation.

And something on Earth has been waiting for humanity to come home.

The Dead Signal is a cinematic science-fiction mystery thriller about artificial intelligence, memory, identity, lost civilizations, and the terrifying question of what makes someone truly human.
