This truly American classic novel is as powerful and compelling as today's technology action series. The characters seem as real life and human as the author remembers.
The reader does need some patience to slow down and let the author describe the heroes and villains at his pace. One I did that I enjoyed the novel even more. I loved the ending and was surprised a little as well as pleased to think about what might have happened if...."
