THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLER
“Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!” —Chris Pratt, star of The Terminal List, coming to Amazon Prime
“They’re great, man. They lock you in. They’re gripping.” —Joe Rogan, on the Terminal List series
The fourth thriller in the “so powerful, so pulse-pounding, so well-written” (Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author) Terminal List series follows former Navy SEAL James Reece as he is entrusted with a top-secret CIA mission of retribution twenty years in the making.
It’s been twenty years since 9/11, two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and set out to make the guilty pay with their lives. In the shadows, the enemy has been patient—learning, and adapting. And the enemy is ready to strike again.
A new president offers hope to a country weary of conflict. He’s a young, popular, self-made visionary…but he’s also a man with a secret.
Halfway across the globe a regional superpower struggles with sanctions imposed by the United States and her European allies, a country whose ancient religion spawned a group of ruthless assassins. Faced with internal dissent and extrajudicial targeted killings by the United States and Israel, the Supreme Leader puts a plan in motion to defeat the most powerful nation on earth.
Meanwhile, a young PhD student has gained access to a bioweapon thought to be confined to a classified military laboratory known only to a select number of officials. A second-generation agent, he has been assigned a mission that will bring his adopted homeland to its knees.
With Jack Carr’s signature “absolutely intense” (Chuck Norris) writing and “gripping authenticity” (The Real Book Spy), The Devil’s Hand is a riveting and timely thriller that will leave you gasping for breath.
Alec Christensen has been on a 20-year mission to avenge the death of his fianc e in the 2001 World Trade Center attack, in bestseller Carr's rousing fourth Terminal List thriller (after 2020's Savage Son). First with military service, then a congressional office, and now as the U.S. president, Christensen finally has access to the classified information he's long sought. He tasks former Navy SEAL James Reece, another warrior hell-bent on revenge, with eliminating the 9/11 conspirators still at large. The terrorists, meanwhile, haven't spent the past two decades resting on their victims ashes, and are actively planning a far deadlier mission: the release of a biological weapon that will force the president to destroy infected American cities with powerful fuel-air bombs, killing millions. Reece scrambles to identify the bioweapon, even as he's hunted by both enemy assassins and private American mercenaries working for the president's political rival. Carr delivers engrossing backstory, incorporates current events seamlessly, and never flinches from breathless depictions of violence. Military action fans will find plenty to like. Agent: Alexandra Machinist, ICM Partners.
The devils hand
Great, great read. Another fantastic Reese story. Read it almost cover to cover in one setting.
I just started reading Jack Carr a couple months before. I was mostly listening to audio books while walking. Took a chance on a new author and back to IPad reading. After finishing his first three books, I found I would have to wait for The Devil’s Hand to be published.
Thankfully it was only a few weeks and I was able to get back involved in Reece and his complicated world.
Jack Carr has learned from some of the best action/adventure authors and is quickly developing his own style that is interesting and entertaining. Like Clancy he does his research and includes information into his plot that creates realistic scenarios. Devil’s Hand is a great example.
I look forward to his next book, although this wait will be longer than a couple weeks!
Its an excellent book, it shows his growth as a writer. Excelente libro, demuestra su crecimiento como escritor.
