WOW! What a Ride!
High School Sweethearts are torn apart because of who they thought they were, what they thought they wanted, and what seem to be irreconcilable differences in their grownup world.
Laura Drake made the near ghost town of Unforgiven, New Mexico a place I enjoyed spending time in on both my first and second reads. Quirky characters, true-to-life dialogue, descriptive settings, gotta love ‘em hero & heroine, and humor hits keep the plot moving.
Both Carly and Austin need to grow past their perception of themselves and fully accept a new reality before they can reclaim the love they once felt (and, never truly lost)
for each other.
Both a fun and heart wrenching read (No. The two are not mutually exclusive) with well-defined voices and realistic plot twists and challenges.
I’m geared up for the next in the series.
