The Night Firm
Can I give 6 stars? This is an incredible series in so many ways. It is well written, well edited. The story is rich, fascinating, complex, and drew me in from the first pages. The world and the characters the author creates are nuanced, exciting, engaging, "real". I loved reading the whole arc. Even more, however, is the pull of philosophy-the ongoing examination of morality, ethics, behaviors, choices, meanings, perspectives. It is the examination of these difficult and challenging issues which turns this series from interesting to important, maybe even life changing if readers really absorb her messages relating to 'light'/'dark'/personal responsibility/balance/individual vs collective good, and examining the life we live and its impact on others.
