Sexy and fun romance!
Avery and Kade have known each other for 20 years. She's his sisters best friend. While talking and texting each other about the gift they want to give their godson for his wedding, Avery and Kade grew closer than ever. Will one night be enough to get each other out of their systems? Will Kade's mother, who's never liked Avery, push her so far that she leaves Kade for good?
This is a fun, romantic, steamy, "best friends brother" story line and I loved it! Kade is amazingly sexy and he lives life on his own terms. Avery has been through some rough times and has always come out on top and is very successful in her business. Everything would be great if it weren't for his mother, Corrine. I don't understand how her children could still invite her to their gatherings when every time she opened her mouth the words were mean, cruel and poisonous. Oh well, I guess we all have villains in our families. Looking forward to reading more from this talented author.

Short and Hot! Would like to read more!
I love stories where people finally get to have what they've wanted for so long. Avery has been through a lot. She's made sacrifices, hurt, suffered, and now that she's back on her feet she's decided to go after what she wants, and that's Kade, her best friend's brother.
Kade was interested in Avery too, although I had a feeling it was going to last longer than one night. The chemistry the two had was great and eventually so was the sex. I I thought this book was part of a series, but as it turns out, this is Melanie Jayne's debut work.
It's not very long and I read it quickly. I liked how organically the conflict was worked in. It also made sense to the story. I hope she writes more about these characters. I'd like to see how things work out for all of them in the future. Especially Kyle, who is on the same path as his Uncle Kade.
