CARDAN AND JUDE ATE THAT DOWN OMG
🛑MAY HAVE SPOILERS 🛑Ok I loved this so much and Oak as the main character just made it so good. I love him and his relationship with Wren I just love them in general. I’m still quite literally in love with Jude and Cardan the OG’S never die y’all!!! ❤️❤️ I loved also how Oak played as the fool prince and the stereotypical spoiled royal but he was in fact not helpless but very talented and lethal. It was amazing character development and just chefs kiss!
Ok now Garret and Taryn’s relationship was really interesting as well and I hope that the Ghost won’t stay a tree forever because even though I don’t like Taryn that much for obvious reasons I love the ghost and he deserves a happy ending :(
This book also gave me a good look for how things were going for Jude and Cardan’s rule and it was so fascinating! AND OMG WHEN i tell you I knew that Randilin was bad since the start I am not lying!!! That stupid little rat! No one hurts my shayla Cardan 💔
Ok now Hycanthe (I can’t spell their names 😭) and Terrine I personley think they should get a book too lowkey!! I mean there’s so much depth in their relationship and it just really made me really curious. I also loved their characters in general!
Now overall this book was not five stars…BUT TEN! Holly Black your writing is truly amazing and never fails to make me fully engaged in the story! The Cruel Prince is what started my huge Fantasy obsession and now I can’t stop! Thank you and your books will always be a personal favorite of mine and they live rent free in my head 24/7 anyways 🤪 All your books get a Ten star rating from me not matter what! They always have me on the edge of my seat and fully amerced in the world and all the characters! Thank you for writing such magnificent pieces of literature!

this was the best book in the folk of the air series.
are you joking? oaks point of view has got to be my favorite in the entire universe. the tricks and the schemes are always so, so good. the romance, the pining, it had me screaming crying and throwing up and giggling in joy. wren is such an interesting character and i want more from her. i want more oak and wren please. jude and cardan? perfection. they ate down. ATE. DOWN. and the focus on the twisted little family they’ve made is BEAUTIFUL. i could not have asked for a better book than this. holly black this is why you’re my favorite ever. i think my favorite part of the book was that, exploring this confusing family, how they love each other in their strange ways, and how they all learn from their various mistakes, and how still they’re so, so cunning. they’d do anything for each other, they’d kill for one another.
ALSO NICASIA BOOK COMING SOON??????? I CAN JUST SMELL IT. THIS OUGHT TO BE GOOD ESPECIALLY IF MY POOKIES JURDAN ARE GONNA BE THERE!!!!!
