Publisher Description
In this companion novella to the New York Times bestselling novel The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, sometimes the only difference between a love story and a horror story is where the ending comes ...
While Jude fought for power in the Court of Elfhame against the cruel Prince Cardan, her sister Taryn began to fall in love with the trickster Locke.
Half-apology and half-explanation—it turns out that Taryn has some secrets of her own to reveal.

Pretty enjoyable!
I thought that this was really nice to read after “The Cruel Prince” and before “The Wicked King”! It really helped me to get a better understanding of Taryns character. Although it was short, so there was not a huge plot, it was interesting! I would strongly suggest it if you want to get into the Folk of the Air trilogy!
We did not need this
I love holly black but we did not need Taryn’s bad apology letter to Jude. Taryn is such a weak and useless character, and as Cardan says, she is awful but she actually knows it but won’t admit it. Also her idiotic blaming Cardan for everything was soooooo stupid like he is not the reason for ur dumbness. Taryn must have freaked out when what happens in the 3d book happened if u know u know 💍💍💍💍💍💍
Skip this one
I wish I could unread it. Ugh T is so annoying and weak. Boring. Nothing like the first book.
