The shepherd of the Hills
What a wonderful classically written book. Mystery, love, the good and bad of mankind are here. Yet over all the wondrous story of God's goodness
The Shepherd Of The Hills...an apt title.
I’ve read this book many times and it grows larger and more meaningful with each reading. I first came in contact with this story as a live drama in Branson, MO. I fell in love with it then and have continued to enjoy it immensely.
A Timeless Classic
I read this book only because my wife and I were traveling to Branson, Missouri for a week’s vacation. In researching the history of the area, I learned that the popularity of this entire area began with the publication of this simple but engaging story more than a century ago. The story is timeless in that it presents through an engaging narrative and unforgettable characters the fundamental truths of life’s most essential meaning. It is a story of faith, sorrow, sin and redemption. The Shepherd is a model for all of us who have failed but seek to rise above our pasts into a stronger, more selfless tomorrow. You shall be inspired.
