As we prepared to send our children to college, we began coaching them about the changes and challenges of transitioning from high school to college academics. As authors, it eventually struck us that we should be writing down all of our discussions for use by other high school graduates.
Since Becky’s brother Mark and sister-in-law Jill are both professional educators, we incorporated them into the project. We believe that every student accepted into a college or university has the gifts and experience to be successful, but some may need extra coaching in how to up-level their study skills.
We’ve written this booklet for those students – the bright kids who want to be shrewd students.
