Sir Pierce
Pierce Rutland was a commoner, a groom, then a factory worker. That was before he became an agent for the Crown and a war hero and became a Baronet. Sir Pierce Rutland has worked for years to better his station and be worthy of Lady Rowena Freeham. Rowena is an independent outspoken spinster. Her invitation to the new baronet’s house party is a surprise, but not the biggest one she will encounter. While Pierce only has eyes for Rowena. She has a little competition, and I love how she deals with it. This is a lovely story with absolutely charming characters. Pierce and Rowena made me smile, giggle, and sigh. I now appreciate the importance of pineapples in reaching a happily ever after. A good read. I recommend it.
Heartwarming
This is a well written book. The characters are heartwarming and real. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. R. K. Hanson
