Publisher Description

Tea and Tarot. Love and Murder.

A Tarot conference at a holistic resort seems the perfect place for Tea and Tarot partners Hyperion and Abigail to promote their business and enjoy some beachside luxury. But murder cuts their R&R short. And when the evidence points to Abigail's devilishly appealing neighbor, Brik, and an unsolved murder connected to his past, this amateur detecting duo is on the case.

Years ago, Brik's girlfriend died at the hands of an unknown stalker. He lost everything: his love, his job, his home. Now, he's convinced history is repeating itself. He's tried to keep Abigail in the friend-zone, but he fears another woman he cares about just may be the next victim.

As the investigation heats up, Brik and Abigail are determined to keep each other at arm's length. But as they cross swords with the killer, their feelings become harder to resist. If these two don't learn to trust each other, their chance at love might be cut short.

Permanently.

The Sword in the Scone is a fast-paced and funny mystery, packed with oddball characters, Tarot, and murder. Get cozy and read this hilarious whodunit today!

The sword and the scone

The Sword in the Scone is the sixth book in the Hilarious Tearoom Cozy Mystery series.
Hyperion and Abigail who are business partners and we’re invited guest speakers at A holistic resort to promote there tea shop and Hyperion's new written book. Instead right from the start they find themselves investigating a murder when the murder weapon used came from Hyperion's Tarot card maze, a maze that their contractor friend Brik helped build. The death is very similar to the death of Brik's girlfriend, the one that he was accused of and has haunted him even since. Abigail was afraid that once again the police are going to take the easy option and accuse her friend so she decides to use her time at the hotel to find the real killer. Especially as Brik is determined to find the killer himself. Without giving away the story there are twists and turns that keep you guessing till the end.

I’ve only read a few books in the series so far, so don’t worry if you haven’t read all the books in the series in order, they can easily stand-alone. This is a fun cozy mystery so don't let the idea of tarot or tea leaf reading put you off picking up this book, if that is not your thing because it is just a reason for everybody to be cooped up in the one place and in fact leads to some humours situations at the conference. A fun read and I look forward to seeing where the author that's it next. The author has become one of my favorites. I’m very much looking forward to more in the series, especially more Hyperion (he is hysterical).
