The Truth About Crypto
I’ve been a fan of Ric Edelman for a long time. I’ve read all his books, and, as a result, have adopted his investing philosophy. Don’t try to time the market; have a diversified portfolio of stock mutual funds and ETF’s; use dollar cost averaging; hold for a long time and rebalance periodically. When I saw this book being offered, I was surprised because I just assumed Mr. Edelman would be in Warren Buffett’s camp of “stay away from crypto; it’s a fool’s game.” I’ve stayed away because I didn’t understand crypto, and I just couldn’t get my head wrapped around the whole concept. Ric has changed my thinking. This book does an excellent job in explaining the world of crypto. It may be written at a sixth grade level, but that is what I needed. Thanks to Ric “I get it,” at least I get the basics, which is all I need. (However, homework and/or professional help still required for choosing the right investment.) If you want to learn how to “mine” bitcoin, you will need another book. And for Edelman fans, don’t worry, Ric’s recommendations are measured and fit well within his investing philosophy. Nothing crazy being offered up here. I highly recommend this book.
