He’d not expected to find a mate after being injured in war and having a terrible time recovering. It was a limp but no matter how hard he worked at improving, it seemed to have gotten as good as it was going to. Now he'd met Claire and it didn't seem to bother her. But something did and he needed to figure out what it was.
Claire was drawn to the rugged ex-soldier, but she wanted to establish herself first and she didn't want to have to live at the castle until she was old and gray. She wanted a farm and a nice large house to live in where someday she and her husband, whoever he turned out to be, could raise a family. Trainor didn't seem to care where they lived and made no preparation to buy a house with some land even though she mentioned it all the time.
Will different goals in life interfere with the love that was developing between them? Was there anyway their dreams could come together and give them both everything they ever wanted?
