Alfie has a unique gift bestowed upon him by his mother. He has the opportunity to redo any moment in time by simply saying, “Twice”. This will have profound and unexpected implications for him and for his lovely Gianna.
Once or Twice
It’s hard to take something as overdone as time travel and make it fresh and unique, but Albom has done just that. It all unfolds organically through the lens of a detective, giving a mysterious tone even though I would not classify it as such. Every character has depth and every timeline has meaning. I enjoyed all parts of this book, and the ending really solidifies a 5 star rating. It’s more than a love story, it’s a life story.
