Publisher Description

In this chilling thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz, the carnival is coming to town—and it's like nothing you've ever seen.

Slim MacKenzie is no ordinary man. With eyes the color of twilight, he’s been blessed with a psychic gift: premonitions. He’s also been cursed, for Slim can see the monsters hiding among us, feeding on our suffering...

And when Slim joins a traveling carnival seeking sanctuary, what he’ll find is a hunting ground—with humanity as the prey.

ES the horror fan ,

These inner demons will destroy you!

Dean Koontz admits it himself when you visit his website, or watch YouTube videos featuring interviews with him, or read the afterwards to some of his books: He never wanted a reputation as a horror writer; he considers himself an author of suspense novels. He admits that he’s written many horror novels over the course of his long career; that’s my point. My own admission(again) is that I like that he’s written books in both genres! As I have said in other reviews, horror novels and mystery-suspense novels are two of my favorite types of books. As for Twilight Eyes, it could be one of Koontz’s best horror stories! He blends all of the ingredients that usually make his books such winners into another page-burning plot: suspense, terror, an extraordinary imagination for the supernatural and the mystical, humor, heart, sadness, romance, intelligence, a dash of science fiction, wonderfully inventive, creepy, terrifying twists and turns, a knack for natural, smart, enjoyable storytelling, and unforgettable characters, including a protagonist who is humble, kind, loving, and friendly, dedicated, determined, and strong. With these ingredients, Koontz delivers a 451-page book that will be consumed quickly by eager fans, and even by newcomers to his fiction who relish a story that is part horror, part suspense, and 💯 percent pure, unbeatable entertainment! Watchers may always be my #1 favorite by Dean Koontz, but this book proves the point when I tell people, in a review or face to face, that when it comes to his other books, it’s hard to pick a favorite! With very,VERY few exceptions, I’ve found Koontz’s other books so enjoyable, it’s hard not to look at each and every one as a favorite book! As I’ve seen other reviewers say about some of their favorite books and movies, if I could give this book, or any others by Koontz 10 stars, I would! There’s almost nothing not to love about this amazing story!👍🏻👍🏻

A Dean Koontz novel like this one

Never gets old. Like the Odd Thomas books , the Christopher Snow duology and especially the Frankenstein series. His books can be read over and over again with enjoyment.
