Enjoy this highly anticipated new paranormal cozy mystery series by Reader's Favorite finalist Ada Bell.
Since Emma inherited her grandfather's hearth magic, chores have never been so much fun. Her house is sparkling clean, dishes wash themselves, and her pancakes... Well, she’s a witch, not a miracle worker. Emma's new mansion would make a perfect bed-and-breakfast, if she only she could deliver on that second "B". It’s time to hire someone who can prepare a meal without burning the place down. The problems start when one applicant for the cook job turns up dead and the obvious culprit would be the other. But Emma can’t quite bring herself to believe this sweet, gentle woman would resort to murder for a job.
To make matters worse, Emma’s new home is haunted. Her ghostly grandfather knows exactly who killed the chef, but after thirty years alone, he’s a bit peeved she never came to visit. Unless she can help him settle his unfinished business, he’s not telling. Can Emma fix her grandfather’s broken heart, save her staff, and find the real killer?
"Ada Bell delivers top-notch humor that is upbeat, eccentric, and charming, stemming from the attitudes of the characters and clever dialogue...Unfinished Witchness is the ideal read for those that enjoy cozy mysteries, comedy, magic, witches, and prominent cat characters." - Reader's Favorite

Cozy Mystery With Humor
I just finished reading the first book in Ada Bell’s Haunted Haven series ‘Unfinished Witchness’. The series starts off with Emma arriving at the huge house she had recently inherited along with a large fortune from a grandfather she never knew. She also had newly discovered he had magical powers that she had also inherited. Now she is preparing to turn the house into a B&B and learning how to use her newly acquired magic. That is all I am going to say about the plot.
I really enjoyed the story. Emma and her two surprising new companions are wonderful characters. The book has humorous moments as Emma learns to use magic. The mystery was good! I am now a fan of Ada Bell and this series. I immediately arranged to acquire the next two available books in the series and very much look forward to reading them.
I received an ARC of this book. My opinion is given voluntarily.
Great light read!
What a fun light read! This was the perfect palate cleansing after a stressful week. I really enjoyed reading this. It only took a couple of days, and only because it was a busy couple of days. This would be a great book to read on a really boring day or weekend. Cute characters and funny writing. I’m looking forward to the second book!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
