Publisher Description
As winemaker at Tangle Valley Vineyard, Madison LeGrange relies on science and logic to make the best vintage possible. It’s also how she manages her life. But with her career in its prime, her accountant thinks it’s time she diversifies her income. Not a problem because her favorite café, the Bacon and Biscuit, is up for sale. What she didn’t plan on was the time she’d spend with Clementine, who has her feeling anything but logical.
Clementine Monroe loves her job managing the Bacon and Biscuit Café. In fact, after escaping a difficult past, it’s all she has. When Clementine is offered the opportunity to step out from behind the counter and buy the place, her longtime dream is about to come true. That is until it’s snatched out from under her by the very same girl she crushed on in high school. Old habits are hard to break, but Clementine has no plans to forgive Madison anytime soon.

Great series (again)!
I’m not sure how Ms. Brayden manages to write so often yet write such fun characters but this one (written during the pandemic, I suspect, while caring for a toddler) has so much added depth to each of the 6 main characters of this series. Yes, 2 main characters in each of the 3 books in this series and I learned to care about all of them as she fleshed them out, slowly, in each book. She really did a nice job of describing the Tangle Valley Vineyard and the highs and lows involved in the winemaking process, but also the town of Whispering Walls, also. So much so, that I wanted to move there. Really, the books are just fun to read and I would recommend them highly to anyone who likes lesfic and wants to just escape. Especially if you’re still in quarantine. (I used to head out to a favorite spot in my back yard full of trees and breath the fresh air and take in some sunlight in warmer days.) ~castaway
Emotional Rollercoaster
Melissa Brayden is a master at the emotional rollercoaster. I went from laughing to crying and back every few pages. Clementine and Madison have know each other since they were kids. Clem has quietly held a torch for Madison for years, but feels fed up and angry when unknowingly Madison buys the restaurant of her dreams from underneath her. Eventually Madison wins clementine over in both business and love.
This story is not only a sweet love story, but deals with childhood trauma and self esteem issues. It shows how difficult it is to see your worth through the eyes of those who love you and how sweet life can be when you can let go of the emotional baggage. I love the story line, the main characters, and especially the supporting characters. Another win by Brayden.
