Demon Moon
Publisher Description
Xoe never thought she’d be the type of girl to contemplate murder. Of course, she never thought she’d be dealing with werewolves on top of her own strange, budding powers. She’d also never considered the possibility of her long lost father being a demon. Everything comes crashing down at once when her best friend’s life is put in peril, and Xoe will do whatever it takes to save her. On top of it all, there’s Jason. He might be tall and handsome, but she doesn’t trust him as far as she can throw him. Given that he’s a vampire, she’ll have to be able to catch him first.

Good but underwhelming
I was really intrigued by this series. It was extremely engaging to read about all the struggles throughout the novel. However, I must admit, despite the dramatic story, I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed. Possibly because the story was too short, or that it is the first book of the series. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it for a road trip, a cruise trip…any kind of vacation or even at home.
Nothing Special.
I picked this book up because I was looking for a free YA book on iBook for a long car trip. This book is very enjoyable and easy to read. But once I finished it and thought about it, it actually wasn't that good. Don't get me wrong, I love Xoe, she is great character. But all the characters expect her just were flat and undeveloped. Dan, I felt wasn't a good villain and annoyed me at times. Xoe's friends weren't really that memorable. Another thing that we needed more of was information on the magic world. I'm sure they will explain in the second book but still, the world building wasn't there. Also I felt the supernatural creatures weren't inventive (expect the demons). Werewolves, vampires, and etc. were the classic form, not really creative. I recommend this book for a quick read but it wasn't memorable.
Better than expected
When I got the book I thought it was going to be ok but it turned out that I really enjoyed it! I can't wait till the next book(s) I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Werewolves, Vampires, and Teens with powers.
