I never wanted to settle down.
Until she careened into my life.
I'm a star forward for the Baltimore Breakers, and only interested in three things—pucks, food, and an ever-revolving door of women.
Until Dommie.
The woman is as smart as she is infuriating, and more stubborn than any person I have ever met. Her walls are thick and impenetrable and for the first time in my life, I want to break through every barrier in my way and get to the heart of a woman.
Because…I like her.
And I want her.
But how can I convince her to let me keep her forever?

Is he able to open his heart to love and the truth?
Blazed is the eighth book in the Breakers Hockey series. It reads best if you have read the previous book in the series, Breathe. Walker broke things off with Dommie, but now he’s back and wanting a future with her. While he’s willing to tackle all of her demons, is he able to open his heart to Dommie and explain the truth about what happened in his past to push her away the first time?
Wow, what a book! Dommie and Walker dominated the pages right from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put the book down once I got started. I loved their connection and how well they seemed to fit together, but sometimes it was hard to read because you knew both of them were holding parts of themselves back from each other in order to save their heart from further break. Dommie was so determined and constantly was putting one foot in front of the other that she started to feel a little claustrophobic by all of the choices she could make. Walker had something truly horrible happen to him, but his want and need of Dommie overshadowed anything else. I liked his focus and determination to win back her heart and to be the man she needed him to be. I have to admit that this was not my most favorite book of the series, as I felt like we walked into the middle of their relationship. There was a lot of steam (maybe because the physical was easier to accept than the big emotions they both felt for each other) but I felt like there was just something missing from the story or relationship. I liked the chemistry and connection between the characters, but I felt like the whole story was in survival mode for both characters that I missed some of the sweet and fun that came with some of the other books in the series. Still, this was a great book with all the feels, and I look forward to what will come next in this series!
