Publisher Description
Mitch Rapp, the CIA’s top operative, searches for a high-level mole with the power to rewrite the world order in this riveting thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Vince Flynn, written by Kyle Mills.
Mitch Rapp has worked for several presidents over his career, but Anthony Cook is unlike any he’s encountered before. Cunning and autocratic, he feels no loyalty to America’s institutions and is distrustful of the influence Rapp and CIA director Irene Kennedy have in Washington.
When Kennedy discovers evidence of a mole scouring the Agency’s database for sensitive information on Nicholas Ward, the world’s first trillionaire, she assigns Rapp the task of protecting him. In doing so, he finds himself walking an impossible tightrope: Keep the man alive, but also use him as bait to uncover a traitor who has seemingly unlimited access to government secrets.
As the attacks on Ward become increasingly dire, Rapp and Kennedy are dragged into a world where the lines between governments, multinational corporations, and the hyper-wealthy fade. An environment in which liberty, nationality, and loyalty are meaningless. Only the pursuit of power remains.
With “sizzling storytelling at its level best” (The Providence Journal), Kyle Mills has created another suspenseful thriller that not only echoes the America of today, but also offers a glimpse into its possible future.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
A CIA operative learns the United States’ greatest threat is frighteningly close to home in this breakneck international thriller. Former supersecret counterterrorism op Mitch Rapp thinks he’s done with Washington, but when an old friend at the agency needs his particular set of skills, the tough-as-nails hero gets pulled back into the trenches. A massive data breach is threatening the future of a lifesaving research project, launching Mitch into a globe-trotting race against time. This installment in the long-running series (which Kyle Mills took over from the late Vince Flynn) is a breathless thrill ride, moving from the jungles of Uganda, where scientists have been disappearing, to the halls of Washington, where life-and-death decisions are being made. It’s a good thing Mitch has been long-distance cycling during his sabbatical, since the thrilling action on this mission never lets up. Even so, there are so many twists along the way, we weren’t sure one man could handle it—even one as cunning as Mitch Rapp.
Customer Reviews
Disappointing
I’ve read all of the Mitch Rapp series of books. This was extremely disappointing. Don’t waste your money. I’m done with them.
You can’t be serious
The only thing that would have saved this book would have been Mike Nash taking out the former Governor of the People’s Republic of California and Mitch feeding the President’s wife to his dogs.
Idiotic
So you build up the patriot Mike Nash for years and get us to love him, then decide he is a traitor who tries to kill off his best friends and neighbors? Come on. Doesn’t even fly. Horrible.
