Publisher Description

In our busy airspace, flying has since long become unthinkable without air traffic control, or at least a form of radio contact to exchange information.
Especially in controlled airspace, a high degree of standardization in terminology is required, which must be unambiguous and as short as possible. Discipline in the correct conduct of the necessary conversations is also of paramount importance for flight safety.
The somewhat separate language that is used has grown for decades, and has been systematically adapted after observed misunderstandings that have sometimes led to enormous disasters.
These terminology and rules are covered in this course, nothing more: it is assumed that the students have mastered the basic knowledge of regulations, navigation, AIP, etc.
On the other hand, do not consider the air traffic controller as an ogre who limits your freedom, but as a necessary tool to guide you as a pilot through traffic as quickly, as efficiently and as safely as possible!
