The Last of the Mohicans

The Last of the Mohicans (1826) is set during the French and Indian War, amid the vast and dangerous wilderness of colonial North America. Sisters Cora and Alice Munro embark on a perilous journey to reunite with their father, accompanied by the frontiersman Hawkeye and his Mohican allies, Chingachgook and Uncas. Through forests, ambushes, and clashes involving the French, the British, and Native American peoples, the group must fight for survival as their loyalties, courage, and affections are put to the test.
