This is basketball star Lucas Atwood, and journalism graduate Savannah Maxwell’s story line. BROKEN RECORD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Savannah is Brady Maxwell’s sister (Record #1-3).
Told from dual third person perspectives (Savannah and Lucas) BROKEN RECORD follows the life-long friends to frenemies to lovers relationship between basketball star Lucas Atwood, and journalism graduate Savannah Maxwell. Savannah and Lucas have been best friends for most of their lives but four years earlier Lucas professed his love for his best friend but Savannah feared losing said best friend if things didn’t work out. Going to different colleges meant meeting new people, wherein Savannah will find herself falling in love with someone else. But graduation season meant coming face to face with one another only to discover their back and forth, tempestuous relationship hid a profound love neither one was willing to admit. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and romance between Savannah and Lucas, and the potential fall-out as jealous, anger and their mutual history of pushing away one another may be a wall too tall to overcome.
