SOMEONE IS WATCHING YOU...

A series of suicides. Each one a female university student. Each one more horrifying than the last.

The police know it cannot be coincidence. But they can't prove it.

They need someone to go undercover. A young policewoman, as vulnerable as the others. As unprepared for the nightmare that will greet her.

Watch your back, Lacey Flint . . .

3.5* rounded up

The book starts and ends, unnecessarily in my opinion, in the present tense. Most is written in the past tense. Parts are written in the first person, parts in the third person. That wasn’t a problem or confusing for me but I know it’s a huge bugbear for some readers. Generally it’s very well written.
I was enjoying this story very much. It promised to be a satisfying and intriguing read, even though I found a few things (I won’t spoil it for future readers by saying what) rather implausible and other things rather unpleasant.
The further the story progressed, the more incredible and absurd I thought things became. I feel that if I’d watched the story as a television drama I would have found it enjoyable, suspenseful and exciting. Reading the action gave me too much time to stop and think about how ridiculous, almost impossible, certain things were. Towards the very end I was skim reading, just to get it over with and I now realise that I’m not sure why certain peripheral people were involved. I don’t care enough to go back and see if everything is explained.
This is a ‘nearly excellent but not quite’ book for me.

Great book

Sharon Bolton is a fantastic writer, awesome story line just like the rest of here books.
Only thing I don't like is the chapters 89 in 400 and odd pages seems a bit excessive, other than that it's amazing!
