Publisher Description

In this unforgettable seventh book in The New York Times and USA Today best-selling Keeper of the Lost Cities series, Sophie must let the past and present blur together, because the deadliest secrets are always the ones that get erased.

Sophie Foster doesn’t know what - or whom - to believe. And in a game with this many players, the worst mistake can be focusing on the wrong threat. But when the Neverseen prove that Sophie’s far more vulnerable than she ever imagined, she realizes it’s time to change the rules. Her powerful abilities can only protect her so far. To face down ruthless enemies, she must learn to fight.

Unfortunately, battle training can’t help a beloved friend who’s facing a whole different danger - where the only solution involves one of the biggest risks Sophie and her friends have ever taken. And the distraction might be exactly what the villains have been waiting for.

Part Four: DRAMA CLUB!!!!

Part Four:
Tam couldn’t believe what had just happened.
Slowly, he got up and walked after Astrid.
Carefully avoiding anything that might give him away, he watched as she rounded the corner and stood in front of the dragon statue.
“Well,” she whispered. “I’m here. I wish I could say the same for you.”
‘What in the world is she talking about?’ Tam thought.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t help you,” she whispered. She reached up and stroked the dragon’s nose. “I’m sorry I let you down.” She levitated up and hugged the dragon’s neck. Tears were streaming down her cheeks.
Tam took a step forward—and accidentally stepped on something loud.
Astrid saw him though—and lost concentration on her levitation. Tam watched as she fell—and dove.

CHAPTER SEVEN:ATTACK
As they walked inside the fancy house Fitz explained that this house was his home called Everglen. Donaria was beginning to dislike Fitz and Sophie. They kept ignoring her and Keefe! “Ok can someone explain what Project Rising is or what is up with these abilities you guys keep motioning. And don’t even think about ignoring me!” “I like this girl.” Muttered Keefe’s bodyguard. As they sat down onto warm armchairs Fitz and Sophie explained about Project Moonlark and how Project Rising was basically the opposite of it made by the bad guys. They also explained about special abilities and the ability Donaria seemed to have. Then they shared their abilities. When they had just finished the crystal ceiling shattered. A group of cloaked figures, the Neverseen, jumped down and started grabbing everyone. They used weird shocking weapons to deal with the bodyguards. Donaria felt a word on her tongue. As she looked at Keefe it seemed like he had the same thing happening. She knew what to do. “Stop!” she tried to yell but one figure got a gag on her in time. Keefe had a similar gag. A cold liquid was forced down her throat then all went black.
CHAPTER EIGHT:PRISONERS
Donaria woke up tied to a bed with her gag still on. She tried to turn her head but it was a lost cause. Footsteps. A door. and then muffled screaming. Oh no. Someone else was in trouble. Donaria pulled on her ropes but they only tightened. Suddenly someone spoke “It won’t help, but I can make it so you can move your head.” The ropes tying her head loosened and she could finally look around. She seemed to be in some sort of dorm room. There was a person sitting next to her on a chair. They had a hood. Donaria lifted her head and saw Keefe tied to another bed clearly screaming. He was looking at the crude door. She turned her head to find a tall woman with blonde hair and many scars all around her body. She was smirking and looking at them as if they were just naughty children. Oh how much that made Donaria’s blood boil. She glared at the woman. “Lady Gisela” the other person sitting next to her addressed the other Neverseen. “ Why are my darlings with the Black Swan?” Lady Stupidhead asked sweetly. “They are bad for your legacy.” Oh that was it. Donaria started thrashing and kicking. “Now now” said Lady horrible “That’s rude!” Bring them into a separate room for questioning.
CHAPTER NINE:QUESTIONS AND BURNS
Donaria was dragged off her bed and into a room where she was tied to a chair. The gag was removed but there was another person with earmuffs supervising. A person stood in front of her with one hand on her chest. “What’s your name?” he asked. “Why do you want to know?” she replied. A searing pain shot through her chest. “Wrong.” he answered “What do you know of the Black Swan?” He demanded “That their name is stupid?” she nervously replied. Yet another burst of pain. It continued like this for a good half hour. Then they were dragged back to bed and tied up again.
