DRAMA CLUB
Dex slowed to a stop near the dragon statue. He groaned and leaned against the base, massaging his now-sore legs. After a few minutes, he stood up again.
“Dex?”
Dex nearly peed his pants when Biana’s voice sounded practically right next to his ear. He whirled around to see her standing behind him.
“Biana,” he breathed, and her name had never been so beautiful before.
She awkwardly reached over and took his hand. “Sorry if I embarrassed you back there. I hadn’t meant to be nosy.”
“It’s okay,” he responded. “It would’ve gotten out there somehow, sometime.” He smiled to lighten things up, and when Biana smiled back, he could practically see the world light up.
“So…”
“So…what?”
“So…you know that I like you.”
“I do,” she said. She stepped a little closer. “And you know what? I like you back.”
She stepped close enough that their chests touched.
It was only for one, brief, second, but Dex could feel the sparks jumping between them.
Biana went up on her tiptoes. “Do you trust me?”
“I think so?”
Biana kissed him—and automatically, Dex kissed her back.
Fireworks traced down his spine, and he could feel their pulses speed up and fall into sync.
When they pulled away, they said nothing, but walked hand in hand back to the cafeteria.

Tam and Astrid arrived at the cafeteria right as Dex went rushing out.
“What was that about?” Tam asked Sophie.
Sophie shrugged.
Tam and Astrid exchanged glances. Then Tam’s shadow-conscience went and whispered in Astrid’s ear, “I’m pretty sure Keefe and Biana had something to do with it.”
Astrid only nodded. The adrenaline from their kiss was still flowing through her veins, putting her on edge—
—wait.
Was that awful smell…smoke?
Just then, Ro screamed, “GET DOWN!”
And the roof shattered.
Each of the six members of the Neverseen seemed to float down, and they each grabbed Sophie, Keefe, or another one of the friends in each arm, except for the last one who ran out into the hall and grabbed Dex and Biana. Then the one holding Fitz and Stina let out a loud cry, and everyone else in the room fell down, holding their ears. Ro leapt up at the floating Neverseen members, but she barely even touched one of the cloaks’ hems.
The Neverseen floated up and exited Foxfire through the hole in the ceiling.

I was *so* happy when Keefe and Sophie finally kissed!
I think my shipping for Sophie has been as confused so I’m gonna write it out:

Sokeefe, for books 8, 8.5 and 9,
