Part Four: DRAMA CLUB!!!
Part c
Dex was doodling in his notebook. Scrawled notes in the corners and tiny drawings in the margins.
And nine times out of ten, Biana showed up in them.
While everyone was speculating about where Tam could have followed Astrid to (and Stina kept insisting that it was a trap and they needed to rescue Shade Boy), a smile was tugging at the corner of Dex’s lips. He trusted Astrid and Tam, and he knew that they’d be okay—even if that theory was only from a gut feeling.
“Whatcha got there, Dexy?” Marella snatched his notebook and dragged it over so she, Linh, Maruca and Stina could read it together.
Red alarms went off in Dex’s head.
“Wait—” he started to say—and then Marella squeaked—REALLY loudly—and threw the notebook at Dex’s head at supersonic speeds. Linh wrapped a protective arm around Marella’s shoulders.
“What are you hiding, Dexy?” Keefe snatched the notebook—and naturally Sophie, Fitz, Ro and Jensi peeked over his shoulder.
Dex wanted to crawl under the table, dig a hole, and get eaten by the dwarves hiding in the ground. Especially when Sophie gave him a sympathetic (but sappy and embarrassingly proud and knowing) look.
Fitz, on the other hand, looked like he could eat Dex alive.
And Jensi…
Jensi grabbed the notebook, reading the corner of the notebook over and over again.
“Can I PLEASE have my notebook back?!” Dex asked, reaching over.
“Hey, I wanna see it, too!” Said Biana.
“No!” Dex said—a little too forcefully.
Biana gave him a confused expression mixed with hurt, sadness and a little irritation.
Jensi blinked hard. A lot. Then he slowly handed her the notebook and stood up, walking away. He whispered to Dex, “Take care of her, please.”
“Jensi, are you okay?” Dex asked, panicking.
“I’m fine!” He said. “I just…need a moment.” He quickly walked out of the cafeteria.
Biana, meanwhile, was reading the notebook. Then she said, “Oh, Dex…that’s so, so sweet.”
“Woowwwww,” Ro laughed. “Somehow you got the Dexinator to go ghostly pale AND bright red at the same time.”
Now Dex REALLY wished he could get eaten by dwarves.
Instead, he settled for the next best option—running out of the cafeteria.

I just want them to make more in the series. It’s such a good series I recommend it to anyone in the world.
