When the photographer who shot his photo for the Kilgore Police Department’s benefit calendar asked him for a favor, he couldn’t say no. Not without looking like a jerk seeing as it was benefiting the Fallen Officer Foundation that he played a rather large part in.
Whatever it was that made him agree, he quickly realizes that it’s not worth it. Not when he walks into the studio and sees the massive bed with blood-red sheets dominating the middle of the room.
So uncomfortable he is at the sight, he’s about to head straight out the door and not look back when she walks in.
Amelia steals his breath away with just one glance, and all of a sudden, getting this stranger into his arms with his mouth on hers sounds like the best idea ever.

Absolutely loving this couple!
Absolutely loving this couple! August brings us the relationship of Amelia and Adam, who get introduced through Avery for a stranger photo-shoot, and sparks instantly fly. Joke is on them, because they actually know each other from childhood! These two characters are strong on their own, but a powerhouse together and the chemistry is so explosive it sparks right off the pages! Amelia is the quintessential independent woman who strives to do anything to push the envelope with her father and brothers regarding her ability to handle tough things. Sticking up for herself, she ends up assaulting a movie star, and then the bullying from his fans start. The level of sarcasm and amount of times we find Adam arresting or finding Amelia in jail becomes a constant in this storyline and it just adds another level of comedy. I also love that LLV provides insight and sheds light to common illnesses, such as Amelia’s diabetes and her need for a strict diet and consequences of low blood sugar or eating too much sugar. Between the suspense and learning something new every time I read a LLV book, I can’t get enough! Can’t wait for Mr. September!

Lots of heat
The calendar swat men we all know and love are back with Adam.
What all starts with a stranger (although turns out they aren’t really strangers) photo shoot between Amelia and Adam turn an insta love story that is 🔥🔥🔥. Seriously just reading the photoshoot scene for me all hot a bothered.
Amelia has spent her entire life trying to get under the skin of her overprotective father and brother’s but this time she may have pushed to hard and now she has people after her. Good thing she has caught herself an alpha man swat member of their own!
I am really enjoying this series and cannot wait for more.
