A sheriff’s mysterious death spurs the tenth Longmire novel from New York Times bestselling author Craig Johnson
The hit drama Longmire is now streaming on Paramount+
Walt Longmire is sinking into high-plains winter discontent when his former boss, Lucian Conally, asks him to take on a mercy case in an adjacent county. Detective Gerald Holman is dead and Lucian wants to know what drove his old friend to take his own life. With the clock ticking on the birth of his first grandchild, Walt learns that the by-the-book detective might have suppressed evidence concerning three missing women. Digging deeper, Walt uncovers an incriminating secret so dark that it threatens to claim other lives even before the sheriff can serve justice—Wyoming style.
Customer Reviews
Good but too familiar
I have read every one of the Longmire books. This one seemed to be a book he pushed through using elements from other books. The one new element introduced relates to the conclusion of the last book and could lead to a good follow up. I wish Longmire and Moretti were in a true relationship and not this hidden half secret.

This book has many twists and turns to it. Craig Johnson has a way of writing that can keep you on the edge of your seat. This book was a fun read as in you could not guess what laid ahead. All I can say is this was an exciting read as in you did not want to put it down.

All of Craig Johnson's books are excellent. Humor, drama, and loads of "steadfast resolution".
