Be Thou My Vision
Nice to read a good clean book
Be Thou My Vision
A lovely story of a shattered family still living under the same roof. News of the death by hanging of their younger brother and son is the catalyst for change in Anna’s life. She was only nine when their mother died in childbirth, and was left to raise the baby, Jed.
A stern father drove Jed from home by daily beatings and abuse. He was only fourteen, and turned to a life of crime in order to support himself.
To her father’s horror, Anna turns to God in her grief and guilt over not saving her brother. His hatred for God and religion keeps Anna and her brother, Caleb, from going to church or practicing Christianity.
The book tells the story of Anna’s journey to God as she returns to her Christian beliefs despite her father’s determination to deny God’s existence. She finds so much more than God. Her dream of being a wife and mother hangs in the balance of juggling daughter and sister roles. When will Anna find peace and fulfillment? Now or never?
Be Thou My Vision
Beautiful story. It is so good to read a book without sexual content. I try to be careful but once in a while I get one and even though it was a good story I ha to flip thru several pages to avoid that content. Thank you.
