Detective Michael Bennett has been through a lot, but James Patterson and James O. Born have no intention of taking it easy on the New York policeman. Not only is his son behind bars, Bennett himself is on an enforced leave of absence from the force after using his service weapon on a pair of muggers. So imagine his surprise when the usually hostile mayor offers him a deal—find the mayor’s missing daughter and he’ll make sure Bennett’s son is released. From the moment the detective takes the job, the action zips along, following him from New York to the darkest corners of eastern Europe’s criminal underworld on the heels of an elite hacking ring. But it’s the family drama that gives Blindside its major emotional heft. Thanks to the authors’ taut writing and gritty, sardonic dialogue, we really felt the anxiety of the two desperate fathers. The high stakes make this the kind of page-a-minute thriller you never want to put down.

Bennet books have been going downhill for a while. Time for Mike to retire and move to Florida with the 10 kids. Also bring the priest for a golf buddy. Enough.
Mr. Patterson needs to hang it up
Did my 6 year old nephew write this? His writing has really gone downhill. This will be the last book of his that I buy.
