Frustratingly good
I spent all last summer obsessed with these books. Between the subtle french and the slow burn, I was freaking hooked. That being said I have yet to finish the last book simply because I’m not ready for this series to be over. I’m absolutely in love and have reread it twice now, yet every time I get to gods and monsters I stop before reaching the last few chapters, not ready to say goodbye.

This was awesome and action packed! I just love the characters, especially Lou! Fabulous world building, and magic system. What a great conclusion to a great series! I loved it, and didn’t want it to end! Deep book mourning now! Can’t wait to see what else this author writes!!

Felt like I was reading someone’s stream of consciousness - but missing every third sentence. Had to re-read a lot - thought I missed something - but no - just poor execution.
Dragged a lot. Not overly impressed. Potential was there but squandered on this incessant need to be ethereal and overly sentimental. Wah wah waaaahhhh…
