Publisher Description

The New Empire intends to mark its victory over the Nationalists with a bloody celebration. On the high holiday of Wintertide, the Witch of Melengar will be burned and the Heir of Novron executed. On that same day the Empress faces a forced marriage, with a fatal accident soon follow. The New Empire is confident in the totality of its triumph but there's just one problem-Royce and Hadrian have finally found the true Heir of Novron -- -and they have their own holiday plans.

When author Michael J. Sullivan self-published the first books of his Riyria Revelations series online, they rapidly became ebook bestsellers. Now, Orbit is pleased to present the complete series for the first time in bookstores everywhere.

End of an Epic

Particularly in the fantasy genre, there is not really a whole lot of humor integrated into the story. Multiple times I found myself laughing out loud. Integrate that humor with a truly epic plot, and you have an excellent book to read. The characters are very well developed and I am sad to see them go. I was very satisfied with the way the series wrapped up however. I hope to see more material from this author.

At story that pulls you right into a new world!

I’ve read this series three times and I’m ready restart again. I wish it were a MOVIE!

Loved it!

I am so sad the saga is over.
I am a huge J. R.R Tolkien fan, this is not Tolkien, but I enjoyed it just as much. I know these characters better than The Lord of the Rings characters, and there were times where I could see almost as well the landscape and world the author creates (Like in the lost city of Persepliquis). In other words, I feels that Tolkien wrote the works on a “global” scale and took specific care to keep you in that world. I think Sullivan’s gift is that he writes for the characters and the relationships and interpersonal struggles. There is more of a “I think I know this guy” familiarity to Sullivan’s characters - which I love.
